For a long time now I've been working toward getting my second book Old Habits published. Well its out there now.

And soon I'll have it up as a softcover book on my Lulu store, hopefully next week. The Amazon book is $1.99, and is available for download as a Kindle product. I also plan to have it up on Smashwords soon for a wide variety of different e-reader platforms. Check it out, spread the word, tell your friends, and so on.

I don't put a tip jar up on this site because it seems so pathetic to beg for money, but if you really want to throw me a few coins to help me keep blogging and working, this is an easy way to do so.

Long ago my mother told me once that variants of my name include "Kester" and "Kit" - I never liked Chris. I always wondered where Kit Carson got his name, and now I knew. But while I liked Kester it was very British and in America too easily confused with keister. And while God knows I could be an ass those often enough, I didn't want the name of one.

However, there was a variant of hawk called Kestrel which I liked - it is a close relative of the peregrine hawk, and a very nice looking golden bird. I took that for my company name long before I even was serious about having a company. It used to be called Kestrel Enterprises, but that's too long and I don't really have all that many enterprises, so the name got shortened to Kestrel Arts.

So here we are, and I'm starting up a new blog. I have a few others, but this one is meant primarily to be my company blog, to get people aware of what I'm doing and give updates on various products and efforts. I will also be using it to post thoughts on what I'm doing, such as writing new fiction.

Hopefully this will be a useful tool for customers and potential customers, as well as any fans I might happen to attract. Stay tuned to Kestrel Arts!
